Kenya Tanzania Safari

Trip from Kenya to Tanzania in August 2018
by Riccardo Gaiardoni

We were six friends from Italy with the same passion...travel around the amazing lands of this beautiful country, Africa! We spent nine days between Masai Mara, lake Naivasha, lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti, sleeping in tents, waking up very early when the sun was rising up, “embarking” a lot of kilometers along the way with local buses and jeeps. It has been an incredibile journey, totally worth it! And here I am, sharing with you some of the moments I have been able to capture with my camera. Enjoy the view;)
Two male elephants.
📍Serengeti.
Mum and her cub during lunch, after muddy shower :)
📍Serengeti
Breakfast time for zebras.
📍Masai Mara
Scar lion overseeing his territory. This male is one of the oldest and biggest lion, he is very famous :)
📍Masai Mara
A cub very sleepy on the top of anthill.
📍Serengeti
A lioness and a piece of her hunt at morning time, around 6 o’ clock.
📍Serengeti
A lioness in a bush, smelling other animals.
📍Serengeti
Lioness cleaning her two cubs after lunch. They are very cute :)
📍Ngorongoro
A cub, watching and looking for her next pray.
📍Ngorongoro
On the top of Ngorongoro crater. On the right side, there is a lake which is usually pretty dry.
📍Ngorongoro
Leopard relaxing on a tree.
📍Serengeti
A tipical african sunrise with 2 secretary birds on top of the tree on the right side.
📍Serengeti
Two voltures on the top of this tree...not sure whether they are male or female.
📍Masai Mara
One of the best cheetah that we saw.
📍Serengeti
A cheetah very sleepy :) This is the second that we saw.
📍Masai Mara
Our first cheetah. It was exciting.
📍Masai Mara
Little Bee-eater watching my camera curiously.
📍Masai Mara
A tired jackal waiting for the lion to finish its lunch.
📍Masai Mara
Classic african sunset. It's very colorful and wonderful.
📍Serengeti
And now, some shoots of life outside Safari
Kids have been part of our journey and we shared with them precious moments! They are definitively the heart of this country ! As much as we could, along the way we tried to donate some of our food. Speachless for the smiles we got in return.
In this picture you can see the typical Masai welcome dance and people of a village we visited. They explained us how to make a fire with a piece of wood and straw.
Last but not least...Milky way! In Tanzania you can see it very well :)
Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed these shoots :)
